Love Island is set to air a shock dumping tonight after asking viewers to vote for their favourite couple. So far so normal, but this time there’s a twist – viewers can vote to save their faves even if they aren’t romantically involved.
That means the likes of Amy Hart and Curtis Pritchard and Anna Vakili and Ovie Soko can still be saved, even though both of their relationships have hit the skids. Likewise Maura Higgins and Marvin Brooks, and Lucie Donlan and George Rains could also keep their spots in the villa in the wake of the double dumping from the girls on Sunday night.
Amber Gill and Jordan Hames are both officially single and are exempt from the vote, despite Jordan rekindling his relationship with Anna. If Anna and Ovie end up being dumped from the villa, her romance with Jordan could be over before it’s even begun. And Amber might have the last laugh if Michael and Joanna are booted out.
At the end of Monday’s installment, narrator Iain Stirling told viewers: ‘It’s now time to have your say. You can vote for your favourite couple whether they are romantically involved or not.
Lucie decided to end things with George (Picture: ITV) ‘Those with fewest votes at risk of being dumped from the island. Remember you’re voting for your favourite couple. ‘Amber and Jordan are officially single and excluded from this vote.’
Maura already has her eye on Curtis and revealed her feelings to him in a private chat. ‘This might come as a bit of a shock,’ she told him.
‘So obviously you were coupled up with Amy and when I came in here a lot of the girls asked me who would you go for it I came in earlier on and I said you.
‘But I wouldn’t have done that because you were very strong and I wouldn’t want to get in the way of that.’
